The Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) is a common test method for inner layers on multilayer boards. The inspection takes place before lamination. Cameras capture the tracks and software compares the image with your CAD data. In case of a defect, production will be repeated to this point. Afterwards lamination and layer buildup starts with sound innerlayers.
